The plaintiff was a vice principal for the defendant who alleged racial discrimination after an incident involving racial intimidation on school grounds. The plaintiff sued the defendant claiming an inability to continue working in the district due to the lasting effects of the incident at the school, and the defendant’s alleged lack of accommodation.
Econ One was retained by counsel for the defendant to provide an analysis of the economic loss suffered by the plaintiff. Charles Mahla’s analysis involved an estimate of the plaintiff’s losses under a number of alternative employment scenarios within the education field. After researching numerous positions of employment within the defendant’s geographic region, Dr. Mahla determined that a number of those positions would have mitigated the plaintiff’s harm entirely.
