In re: Lithium Ion Antitrust Litigation

The manufacturers of cylindrical lithium ion batteries (LIB) allegedly conspired to fix prices. The plaintiff class in this case includes those who purchased LIB batteries and any of the products that contain them (mainly notebook computers).

The plaintiffs retained Econ One to assist two experts, including Prof. Ed Leamer, to determine if there was common impact of the fixed prices across the class and whether the LIB overcharges were passed through to class members who did not purchase their LIB products directly from the defendants.

The case is currently underway.
