The plaintiff, a chain of convenience stores in northeast Mississippi, accused Mitchell, an Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABI) distributor with the exclusive right to sell ABI brands to retailers, of monopolizing and attempting to monopolize beer distribution within Mitchell’s exclusive territories in northeast Mississippi. The plaintiff also accused the defendants of tortious interference of business relationships and violating the Robinson-Patman Act.
Econ One was retained by counsel for the plaintiff to provide analyses of its antitrust and discrimination claims, and to quantify the amount of damages attributable to the defendants’ alleged anticompetitive conduct. David Sharp submitted an initial expert report, a reply report responding to defendant’s experts, and three supplemental trial reports. Dr. Sharp also provided testimony by deposition and at trial.
