Steven Sklivas is an expert economist specializing in applying microeconomics to understanding firm and market behavior. Dr. Sklivas has 20 years of experience providing expert economic testimony regarding liability and damages in antitrust cases, intellectual property matters, and complex commercial disputes.  This work has included delay of generic pharmaceutical entry cases, patent infringement damages involving technology for locating mobile devices, and assessing the value of a biotech patent in a licensing dispute.  Dr. Sklivas has studied a range of industries, including information technology, pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, electronics, airlines, and b2b e-commerce.

Dr. Sklivas has utilized auction theory to design online b2b exchanges and assess e-commerce strategy.  Dr. Sklivas’s academic research has contributed to the understanding of oligopolistic competition when managerial incentives are chosen strategically and capital formation in a dynamic oligopoly.

Dr. Sklivas has testified as an expert witness in U.S. federal court and in arbitration.
