Kalai Selvan is an Economist with 11 years of experience focusing on primary research in the fields of agriculture, monitoring and evaluation, development economics, nutrition and environmental economics. He specializes in using quantitative analysis to evaluate economic impact of interventions, study the impact of climate change and adaptation. His industry experience includes education, health, and agriculture.

Prior to joining Econ One, Kalaiselvan conducted research on agriculture and development economics at Nathan Associates and M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation. His primary survey work included assessing the socioeconomic status of individuals and households, anthropometry, food frequency, nutrition, and market surveys in various parts of India.

He also has experience conducting statistical analysis including time series modelling and cross-sectional modelling. He is good at using statistical packages such as SPSS, STATA and Basic SAS.
